ANUBIAS BARTERI
Anubias are very slow growing marsh plants suited to low light environments. They cannot tolerate strong light for a long time. Anubias barteri is a very variable plant with leaves that vary in size and number. With its dark green and slightly firm leaves it is often used in cichlid aquariums. In the wild, Anubias grow in shaded or semi-shaded places in fast-flowing rivers and streams; sometimes emergent, growing on rocks or logs, and sometimes semi-emergent.
