ECHINODORUS 'OZELOT'
Another long-time favorite is Echinodorus “Ocelot.” It has very prominent spots that are somewhat reminiscent of an ocelot’s coat. These plants grow very well and have lithe, elliptical leaves. The new leaves shine in a deep reddish brown to dark red color. As the leaves age, they turn dark olive green and display the typical mottled pattern. An attractive variety that grows to 20-30 cm tall. This makes it a great addition to both moderately sized and large aquariums.
