POGOSTEMON STELLATUS SPEC.

POGOSTEMON STELLATUS SPEC.

Pogostemon stellatus is a stem plant with dense leaf whorls and brightly colored leaf tips. It is most commonly found in Asia and Australia, where it grows in marshy and swampy areas and sometimes at altitudes above 2,000 m. Cultivation in an aquarium is very difficult and requires soft water to promote decent growth. Strong light, a permanent supply of CO2 and good nutrition are also essential. As soon as the stems reach the surface of the water you can remove the shoots and replant them. Keep in mind that the cut lower part of the stem will continue to produce new shoots.
