LAGENANDRA MEEBOLDII 'RED'
The genus Lagenandra is closely related to the Cryptocorynes and colonizes similar habitats. Lagenandra meeboldii is a very diverse species and the variety "Red" is a beautifully colored plant for the middle ground. Until now, most species of the genus Lagenandra were not suitable for aquariums, but this new plant from India does very well in an underwater landscape. Here too they form a strong rhizome like the Anubias, but must be planted in the substrate. With its striking color, this Indian beauty is a great feature in a planted aquarium.
