Anubias Barteri var. nana – Compact and Hardy Aquarium Plant, Ideal for Herbivorous Fish Tanks
Anubias Barteri var. nana is one of the most popular aquarium plants due to its remarkable hardiness, slow growth, and adaptability to all aquascaping styles. Native to Cameroon, it reaches a height of 5–10 cm, with a rhizome that can extend beyond 15 cm. Its dark green, thick leaves last for years, making it ideal for low-maintenance setups.
This plant thrives when attached to rocks or driftwood using fishing line or plant thread. The rhizome should never be buried to prevent rot. Anubias nana frequently flowers underwater and is not eaten by herbivorous fish, making it a great choice for tanks with cichlids or other voracious species.
It is supplied in a pot, packed in a breathable blister, ready for aquarium placement.
