LOBELIA CARDINALIS

Live potted aquatic plant, packaged in a breathable take-away blister.

Lobelia cardinalis grows wild in North America. In the nursery this plant is grown in swampy conditions, forming dark green leaves with a purple undertone. In aquariums the leaves take on a beautiful light green shade, with stems 10-30 cm high and 5-10 cm wide.

Widely used in Dutch aquariums in so-called "plant streets". In open aquariums it grows above the surface of the water, where it forms beautiful scarlet flowers and the leaves regain their color. Can be used in garden ponds.
