ECHINODORUS GRISEBACHII BLEHERAE
This large Amazon sword plant is perhaps the most popular aquatic plant. Its leaves are 3-6 cm wide, making it wider than 'Amazonicus', and with growth of up to 60 cm it is certainly the more dominant aspect.
Older bushes, sometimes with more than 50 leaves, are a striking sight. The substrate must be at least 10 cm high so that the root system can spread properly. Combine with various Helianthums (Dwarf Echinodorus) to create exceptional South American aquascapes.
