Tropical jungle giants in small dimensions - this is how we describe our extraordinary Mbuna trees for the aquarium. The Mopani sanded root from southern Africa is particularly rich in structure with a characteristic depth effect. “Colophospermum mopane,” as it is botanically called, is a hardwood tree native to hot, dry regions. Its very hard wood has a high resistance to weathering and can therefore be used well in both aquariums and terrariums.
