ROTALA INDICA BONSAI
This new arrival used to be known as Ammania spec. Bonsai, but it is actually the "true" Rotala indica. This name has been mistakenly used for decades as a synonym for Rotala rotundifolia. Unlike Rotala rotundifolia, the differences between the above-ground and below-ground leaves of this plant are difficult to notice. The oval to circular leaflets are densely packed on the stem and give it a very ornamental look. Growth is always upright, which offers interesting design possibilities. The slow growth also favors its placement in the foreground or in the center of an underwater landscape. A free-standing group in a Hemianthus carpet looks particularly impressive.
