PHYLLANTHUS FLUITANS
Native to South America, the floating plant Phyllanthus fluitans is a beauty on the surface of the aquarium water. In good lighting, the small, round leaves turn reddish brown with deep red roots. In the start-up phase of an aquarium, Phyllanthus is a good recommendation for establishing an ecosystem in the living space. If you are lucky, you may even spot the tiny white flowers. The plant also grows very well in the garden pond or in the drinking trough: sunny locations with little water movement are preferable.
