Anubias Barteri Nana – Compact In Vitro Aquarium Plant, Ideal for Rocks and Driftwood
Anubias Barteri var. Nana is a small, robust aquarium plant native to Cameroon. Grown in sealed in vitro cups, it’s free from snails, algae, and pesticides, making it completely safe for sensitive fish and shrimp. Reaching 5–10 cm in height with a 10–15 cm rhizome, it thrives when attached to stones or driftwood and does not require substrate planting.
Its dark green, thick leaves are highly resistant and unpalatable to herbivorous fish. With a very slow growth rate and the ability to bloom underwater, it is an excellent choice for low-maintenance tanks. When planting, ensure the rhizome stays above the substrate to prevent rot.
Key Features:
Placement: Foreground or midground
Origin: Cameroon
Height: 5–10 cm
Growth rate: Slow
Light: Low to medium
CO₂: Not required
