Amblystegium Serpens – Fine-Textured Nano Moss for Freshwater Aquariums

Amblystegium Serpens, also known as “nano moss,” is a delicate and compact aquatic moss with a cosmopolitan distribution, found across the Northern Hemisphere, South America, and Australia. Its fine, upright shoots and slow growth make it perfect for decorating rocks, driftwood, or foreground areas in freshwater planted tanks and aquascapes.

This moss thrives in cool, clear water and medium to low lighting conditions, and it stands out due to its bright light green coloration, which contrasts beautifully with darker green plants. Amblystegium Serpens is an excellent choice for nature-style layouts, moss tanks, and low-maintenance aquascaping setups. It can be easily attached to hardscape using glue or thread and adapts well even without CO₂ supplementation.

Easy to propagate through division, this moss is suitable for both beginners and experienced aquascapers, especially in nano aquariums or foreground compositions.
