AF Bio Sand is a high-quality, natural white sand. It is free from contaminants and its calcium carbonate content helps to stabilize the water chemistry. AF Bio Sand technology significantly accelerates the maturation process of an aquarium and allows you to introduce inhabitants to a newly established tank more quickly. The included vials contain laboratory-isolated strains of nitrifying bacteria and their nutrition, which facilitates their development and multiplication. The special formula of the product ensures the closing of the nitrogen cycle and the elimination of harmful chemical compounds much faster than when using traditional substrates.
The extremely simple use of AF Bio Sand allows you to use the product immediately.
Thanks to the wide range of applications, AF Bio Sand also works perfectly in already mature tanks as a supplement to an existing substrate. The grain size of the sand is 0.5-1.5 mm.

During transport, some sand residues may emerge; this is perfectly normal and harmless for your aquarium; however, in order to avoid water cloudiness, it is strongly recommended to rinse the sand in osmotic water before use.
Pour the contents of both bottles into 3 litres of salt water, mix thoroughly and pour the solution into the Bi oSand bag; leave to act for 24 hours.
To allow the bacteria to multiply, the bag must not be closed.
Storage in cool places is not recommended, as the cold significantly increases the time needed for bacterial multiplication. The optimal maturation temperature for sand is approximately 25-28 ° C.
After 24 hours the sand is ready for use in the aquarium.
