DISKUSZUCHT STENDKER
SPIRULINA 100g
Our recommendation for simple and complete feeding of discus fish:
Feed our discus fish continuously 3 times a day with our STENDKER discus food. It has been tried and tested for more than 47 years in our breeding farm as an exclusive food. Our food is also readily eaten by other fish
Dosage and feeding Feed your fish 3 times a day with our STENDKER discus food. 1 time in the morning (1 hour after the light is turned on). 1 time in the middle of the day (preferably always at the same time). 1 time in the evening (2 hours before the light is turned off). The discus fish will get used to this regular food and will eagerly await you. Hand feeding is possible and very quick (of course, your hands must be free of cream and soap, well brushed under running water)
Dosage of our STENDKER GoodHeart discus food: Our food is perfectly suited as an exclusive food; Please do not overfeed and defrost beforehand. (Tip: Start defrosting the evening before by placing the food in a storage container with a lid in the refrigerator.)
For 10 discus fish: - from 6.5 to 12 cm you will need approx. ½ - 1 blister (2.5 - 5 g) per meal, so 7.5 - 15 g per day are needed; - from 12 to 18 cm you will need approx. 1 - 1½ blister (5 - 7.5 g) per meal, so 15 - 22.5 g per day are needed
Feed the fish approximately as much food as they can eat in five minutes
Do not feed more than this amount of food because uneaten residues will significantly worsen the quality and values of the water. Discus fish do not have a strong sense of satiety and too much food can cause the fish to overeat
Our food must be defrosted before feeding! Our discus fish do not like hard food and lose their appetite if they bite into something frozen. In addition, frozen food can (in some cases) also cause inflammation of the swim bladder or intestinal infections in discus fish. Depending on the size of the tank and the number of fish, good results have been achieved with 2-3 feeding points, thanks to which even the weakest fish in the group have a good chance of reaching the food
The food can be cut well and divided into portions with a knife or spoon for feeding. Our discus fish and other associated species eat our food very quickly and willingly. If for time reasons you cannot organize the feeding of your fish 3 times a day, it is generally sufficient to feed them only in the morning and in the evening. However, the daily amount of food should remain the same. In the case of smaller discus fish (less than 8 centimetres in size), however, it is recommended to maintain three meals a day to ensure regular growth.
