JBL SymecMicro – Ultra-Dense Filter Wool for Crystal Clear Water Without UV-C
JBL SymecMicro is an ultra-dense mechanical filter wool designed for high-performance water clarification in aquariums, offering a fast, safe, and eco-friendly alternative to UV-C lamps. It effectively removes suspended particles such as green water (algae), white cloudiness (bacteria), and fine debris, ensuring crystal-clear water in just 12–24 hours.
The filter mat measures 250 x 750 mm, with a thickness of 1.45 mm, and can be easily cut to fit any filter type, whether internal or external. Made from chemically neutral synthetic fiber, it does not release substances or alter the water’s pH or parameters, making it safe for both freshwater and marine tanks.
Its ultra-fine structure captures particles as small as 1/1000 millimeter, including parasite spores such as Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, helping to prevent common aquarium diseases. To use, place the wool as the final stage in your filter, ensuring full contact by leaving a 1–2 mm edge gap. Use only a single layer to prevent water from bypassing the material.
After 12–24 hours, the water will appear visibly clearer. The wool should then be removed, as accumulated debris may restrict water flow. JBL SymecMicro is part of JBL’s professional range of over 25 filter media products, designed for complete water management.
