BUCEPHALANDRA DEEP PURPLE

Bucephalandra Deep Purple is one of the rarest forms of Bucephalandra that has been found in the Kapuas region in the Indonesian part of Borneo. Its species affiliation is not yet well known.

This Bucephalandra species grows slightly larger and has elongated, short, pedunculated, horizontal elliptical leaves with a slightly ruffled margin.

Under water it develops magnificent purple tones.

Like other Bucephalandras, "Deep Purple" is an epiphyte and looks best with medium light, good water circulation and constant supply of nutrients and CO2.
