PHOSFILTRUM 50g
Phosfiltrum™ is a specifically processed granular ferric oxide with a high density. It quickly removes phosphates and silicates in both freshwater and seawater and prevents their release over time. It is much more compact than other GFOs, so there is no risk that it could crumble and enter the aquarium. Compared to other phosphate removal products on the market, Phosfiltrum™ has a higher binding capacity, therefore a longer life.
INSTRUCTIONS: To obtain the best result, rinse Phosfiltrum™ before use and position it to optimize the flow of water that passes through it. Place the product in a bag for filter materials. Use 50 g (¼ cup) for every 300 L in salt water or for every 600 L in fresh water. Leave the product to act for 4 days then test the concentration of phosphates or silicates with MultiTest® Phosphate or MultiTest® Silicate. If the concentration of the components you are trying to reduce is not reduced to approximately 0.02 mg/l, keep Phosfiltrum™ in the filter compartment until it is reached; otherwise it is advisable to remove it and reuse it when the levels of phosphates and silicates increase
again. The product appears to be efficient as long as the concentrations remain under control. It is recommended not to exceed the doses.
