ELEOCHARIS PARVULA – Fast-Growing Carpet Plant for Foreground Aquascaping, In Vitro Format Tropica 1-2-Grow!
Eleocharis parvula is one of the smallest species within the Eleocharis genus, perfect for forming dense, bright green carpets in the foreground of freshwater aquariums. With a maximum height of up to 7 cm, it’s ideal for clean and compact layouts in both nano and large tanks. Its thin, flexible blades add a natural grassy texture to any aquascape.
This fast-growing species spreads via underground runners, creating new clusters that quickly cover the substrate. It performs best under medium lighting and with moderate CO₂ supplementation. A nutrient-rich, granular substrate further supports its growth, promoting lush and healthy carpets over time.
Supplied in Tropica 1-2-Grow! in-vitro format, the plant is cultivated in a sterile environment free of snails, algae, and pests. This ensures total safety for shrimp, sensitive fish, and freshly cycled tanks. Before planting, rinse off the nutrient gel under running water, divide the plant into small tufts (1–2 cm), and insert them into the substrate using tweezers.
