NYMPHAEA LOTUS RED
The Red Tiger Lotus is widely distributed throughout tropical Africa, where it inhabits various bodies of water, including temporary pools and lakes, and running water. It has a bulb to store nutrients and sturdy floating leaves. Its most attractive feature is the submerged young leaves that do not reach the surface. Of the two colorations, this red variant is the most popular with aquarists; the green version is difficult to find in the trade. The Tiger Lotus is generally undemanding. The older and larger leaves should always be removed at the base of the bulb.
