SAGITTARIA SUBULATA VAR. PUSILLA
This dwarf arrowhead is a much-loved aquarium plant with very narrow, ribbon-like leaves. You could be forgiven for first thinking that the leaves resemble Vallisnerias. Sagittaria subulata var. pussila is highly variable and can grow from a few inches tall to 16 inches tall. In good lighting, this arrowhead variety stays nice and short for foreground use. Regularly removing runners with longer leaves will help keep the mat short. Moderately hard to hard water is best for these plants, but they will tolerate a variety of water temperatures.
