Stem plant widespread throughout Asia. In its emerged state it is a dwarf plant with shoots densely covered with leaves. In aquariums the shape of the feathery leaves is much more evident and the color changes to light green. Limnophila sessiliflora is a good alternative to light-hungry Cabombas. As with many of the more delicate stem plants, it is best to plant these stems in a large group. In good light the shoots turn a rusty brown color.
