JBL Sansibar Red 5 Kg is a fine-grain, non-colored natural sand designed for freshwater aquariums, marine tanks, and terrariums. Made from finely ground granite, it features a grain size between 0.2 and 0.6 mm, ensuring even distribution and excellent root stability for aquatic plants. Its high density prevents the buildup of sludge and waste, maintaining a clean and balanced substrate over time.
The smooth, rounded surface is gentle on the delicate barbels and mucous membranes of bottom-dwelling fish, making it safe for shrimp, snails, and other invertebrates. The natural red hue is non-reflective, enhancing contrast with green plants and fish, and delivering a vivid and natural appearance. JBL Sansibar Red does not alter water chemistry and is free from harmful substances.
For best results, it is recommended to lay a 6–8 cm layer of JBL AquaBasis underneath to support vigorous plant growth.
