Large mother plant, grown in a 9cm square pot.

Bolbitis comes from West Africa, a fern with beautiful transparent green leaves, 15-40cm tall and wide. When planting do not cover the rhizome as it will rot, and it is best to plant Bolbitis heudelotii on a root or stone. Hold the plant in place with fishing line until it has gained a foothold. Easy to propagate by dividing the rhizome horizontally. Growth can be greatly increased by providing CO2, and is only optimal in soft, slightly acidic water.
