ANUBIAS BARTERI Caladiifolia

Anubias barteri var. nana is a small, attractive plant that thrives in all conditions. It is native to Cameroon and will reach 5-10 cm in height. The rhizome will be 10-15 cm or more. It is slow growing and the leaves survive for several years, giving slow growing algae a chance to establish themselves.

Best results are obtained by planting on a stone or piece of wood. Fishing line can be used to attach the plant until it gets a grip. If planted on the bottom the rhizome should not be covered as it is prone to rotting. It frequently flowers under water. It is not eaten by herbivorous fish.
