Anubias Barteri 'Angustifolia' – Long, Narrow-Leaved Aquarium Plant Ideal for Shaded Areas
Anubias Barteri var. Angustifolia is a slow-growing aquatic plant from West Africa, known for its elegant, elongated, and narrow leaves. Reaching a height of 10–20 cm, with a creeping rhizome of over 15 cm, it adds a graceful vertical accent to the midground or background of freshwater aquariums.
This hardy plant thrives in a wide range of conditions and does best under low to moderate lighting. Intense light should be avoided, making it an excellent choice for shaded areas or under overhanging plants. The rhizome must remain above the substrate to prevent rot, so it's best attached to rocks or driftwood. Unpalatable to herbivorous fish, it retains its form and health even in nutrient-poor setups.
