Based on its extensive knowledge of the natural habitats of the most popular aquatic plants, Dennerle has developed a long-term mineral nutrient soil rich in humus especially for aquariums. The plant optimally receives all the nutrients it needs through the strong, widely branched rootstock. This allows the care of even sensitive species that are quite difficult to keep in the aquarium. Naturally, Deponit-Mix does not contain additional phosphates and nitrates – nutrients that can promote the formation of algae in excessive concentrations – and is covered as a bottom layer by aquarium gravel. Many years of practical experience prove: Deponit-Mix effectively prevents algae infestations. The combination of storage nutrients, trace elements and clay minerals, which regulate the nutrient balance, always provides the roots of aquatic plants with the right amount of nutrients. Natural peat rich in humic acidifies the soil slightly and makes plant nutrients more available. Clay minerals, humus substances and soil bacteria are already active in the slightly moistened deposit mixture. The bacteria receive oxygen through the two holes in the lid. Also unique are the white activator pearls, which provide the full power of the microorganisms right from the start like a bacterial refueling station. Depending on plant population, lighting and other fertilizers, aquariums with DeponitMix can last up to 10 years.
