SIO₂ SILICATES TEST – JBL Test Kit for Detecting Silicates in Freshwater and Marine Aquariums
The JBL SIO₂ Silicates Test is an essential tool for precisely monitoring silicate levels in your aquarium, which are often the root cause of unsightly diatom infestations. Diatoms are common in new setups or where tap or RO water contains high silicate concentrations.
This test allows accurate determination of silicate content using a double-vial color comparator method. The included comparator block offsets the water’s natural coloration, making results easy to interpret with the provided color scale.
The complete kit provides around 50 tests and includes two reagents, two glass vials with caps, a dosing spoon, syringe, comparator block, and color scale. Refill reagent is available separately.
