JBL Silicat Test SiO2 per Acqua Dolce e Marina 50 Test

The JBL Siliket-Test-Set SiO test set is used to measure and monitor the silicate content in fresh and marine water at regular intervals in the range from 0.2 to >6 mg/I (ppm). Using a compensation method specially developed by JBL, exact and reliable results are achieved even in slightly colored aquarium water, e.g. after peat filtration or disease treatment. Any disturbances due to the presence of silicate in the water test tube are eliminated by adding reagent 2 in a deferred manner

Silicates are the cause of nasty diatoms. With this test you determine the silicate content for diatom control in freshwater and marine aquariums.

The comparator block compensates for the color of the water: fill the two test tubes with the water to be examined, add the reagent to one of them, place the test tubes in the comparator block and read the values on the colorimetric card

Use: in new setups, to control running water and in the case of problems with diatoms
