Due to the small volume of water, mini aquariums have a special nutrient situation. A particularly constant supply of nutrients must be ensured. In order to maintain the biological balance of the mini ecosystem, nutrient shortages and excesses must be avoided. NanoDeponitMix was developed especially for mini aquariums:
Fine, high-quality quartz sand creates an optimal soil.
Selected clay minerals regulate the nutrient balance: they release nutrients when needed and retain them when there is an excess.
Humin-rich natural peat creates a slightly acidic soil and releases the nutrients needed by the plants.
High-quality mineral soil serves for a long-term supply of vital trace elements.
Concentrated nutritious iron in the form of a deposit ensures intensely colored leaves.
Highly porous special granulate makes the soil an active bio-filter and ensures better water quality.
All nutrients and trace elements are available in the form of a depot with immediate and long-term effect. NanoDeponitMix ensures safe growth and strong root formation even for sensitive species.
NanoDeponitMix contains added phosphates and nitrates and therefore prevents algae growth.
How to use:
Add a layer of NanoDeponitMix of approx. 2 cm to the aquarium. Cover this layer with approx. 3 cm of lime-free aquarium gravel with a size of 0.7-1.2 mm, e.g. Dennerle shrimp gravel. The gravel should not be thicker than 1-2 mm. The surface can be decorated with pebbles, stones or roots.
Then fill the aquarium with ¾ of tempered tap water (20-25°C). Make sure that there are no turbulences on the floor - place a flat plate under the water jet. Treat the tap water with Dennerle Nano Water Conditioner to make it safe for all aquarium inhabitants.
Initially, around 80% of the floor area should be covered with plants, at least half of which should be fast-growing stem plants – this way, algae don’t stand a chance right from the start. Add the rest of the water and start the aquarium.
Dennerle tips for proper care of the Nano aquarium

To remove harmful residues and plant inhibitors, Dennerle recommends a partial water change of 20-25% every week for mini aquariums. To be on the safe side, treat the tap water with Dennerle Nano Water Conditioner, as invertebrates are extremely sensitive to pollutants in tap water, such as copper and chlorine.
Vital vitamins and trace elements for shrimps, crabs and the like should be supplemented weekly with Dennerle Nano Crust-Fit for health and a riot of color.
