Vitality is a concentrate of vitamins, amino acids, and additional trace elements, developed to meet the nutritional requirements commonly associated with the long-term residence of tropical marine fish in an enclosed environment. Vitality™ contains ascorbic acid in a concentrate of spirulina and chlorella (algae). Ascorbic acid is a cofactor in the hydroxydation of proline and lysine to procollagen components. the precursor of collagen, necessary for the formation of connective tissues, repairs the wound by healing it and strengthens the bone matrix.
Spirulina and Chlorella both contain a rich assortment of amino acids and vitamins. Vitality™ can also be used for freshwater tropical fish, however, it is specifically created for marine fish, which are more prone to degenerative lateral line infection.
The formula of this product was designed based on current information on the nutritional needs of fish (National Academy of Science) specifically addressed to marine water fish.
