Seachem Purigen 100 ml is a top quality synthetic adsorbent with which no other filtration product can compare.
It is not a mixture of ion exchangers or adsorbents, but a macroporous synthetic polymer. Purigen, unique in its kind, eliminates soluble and insoluble impurities from water at a speed and effectiveness superior to any other product by over 500%.
Nitrogenous organic waste releases harmful compounds such as ammonia, nitrites and nitrates, which you can keep under control thanks to Purigen. The impact Purigen has on trace elements is minimal. This product considerably increases oxidation-reduction and also cleans the water, giving it unrivaled clarity.
Purigen gradualy darkens with use indicating consumption. It can be easily regenerated by treating it with household bleach.
Purigen is suitable for both freshwater and marine water.

The primary source of nitrogen compounds in an aquarium is waste. Fish, corals and even plants produce nitrogenous waste. Purigen removes waste faster and more thoroughly than any other product on the market
Seachem Purigen 100 ml, instructions for use:
Rinse before use.
Place the product in a bag for filter materials.
One liter of product treats up to 4,000 liters of water for up to six months.
It adapts to any type of filter.
To maximize yield, place where the water flow is greatest.
It takes on a black-brown color when it is exhausted.
Regeneration:
Soak the spent Purigen for 24 hours in a 50% bleach solution using a plastic container.
Use appropriate caution with bleach.
Rinse well and then immerse for 8 hours in a solution consisting of two tablespoons of SAFE PRIME (or other equivalent dechlorinator) for each cup of water.
When finished, rinse carefully again.
With freshwater aquariums, soak for 4 hours in a solution consisting of 1 tablespoon of Discus Buffer™ or Acid Buffer™ for each cup of water (the use of a buffer product is not required for seawater ).
At this point the original color and reactivation should have been achieved and Purigen should be ready for reuse.
