Denitrifying bacteria are responsible for the breakdown of nitrates. These conditions cannot be created in conventional filters, which is why there is often too much nitrate in the water. The negative consequences are: increased algae growth and increased susceptibility to disease in aquarium inhabitants. FilterAction nitrate remover is the solution for the natural reduction of nitrates in the aquarium. The patented filter can form bacterial layers at a certain depth, so-called biofilms, which provide oxygen-containing and oxygen-free zones. 100 g of FilterAction nitrate remover removes up to 30 g of additional nitrate, thus helping to improve the water quality in the long term. The water will need to be changed less often, which reduces the stress on the aquarium inhabitants. FilterAction nitrate remover also increases the carbonate hardness of the water.
Place the mesh bag on the filter. Depending on the number of nitrates and the volume of water, the nitrate remover is completely removed over time. Replace every 6 months
