Part of the Ocean Bio-Activ Live® series, this sand is harvested directly from its natural habitat and packaged to preserve its full biological integrity, making it a superior alternative to cultured sands.
Containing live nitrifying bacteria, this substrate enables instant cycling of the nitrogen process, removing ammonia and nitrites from day one. It supports a natural, healthy microbial environment that promotes biological balance without the need for maturation periods. Its ultra-fine texture encourages rapid colonization and stability of the substrate, ideal for reef and fish-only marine tanks.
Ready to use straight from the bag, simply place it into the tank, add saltwater, start the filtration system, and begin stocking fish according to safe load guidelines. Not recommended for undergravel filtration systems.
