APONOGETON BOIVIANUS

Aponogeton boivinianus is a strong plant that is only suitable for large aquariums

A plant from Madagascar. In favorable conditions it can form very large leaves (up to 80 cm long and 8 cm wide, and 30-50 cm wide)

The older leaves are deep dark green, while the younger leaves are light green and sometimes brown until they are fully developed

In nature Aponogeton boivinianus is found in fast-flowing water, and prefers some flow in the aquarium water. It needs a rest period when the bulb does not produce leaves.
