There is always discussion about whether it is possible to add fish the day after setting up a new aquarium. Microbiologists have observed that bacteria in a new aquarium reproduce slowly if there is no pollution of the water (food for the bacteria). However, if you add fish the day after setting up without using a bacterial activator, you will have problems with ammonium and ammonia because the bacteria reproduce too slowly at first and cannot keep up with the pollutants.
