MasterLine FilterMAX 3000ml is a high-capacity, 100% natural biological filter media designed to deliver maximum water quality in medium to large freshwater or marine aquariums. With an optimal grain size of 6–12 mm and a microporous structure, it provides a vast colonizable surface for beneficial nitrifying bacteria, essential for converting toxic ammonia and nitrite into less harmful substances.
Its shape and size ensure even water flow through the filter without clogging, fully utilizing available filter volume. FilterMAX is indefinitely reusable and does not need replacement—after cleaning, the internal pores remain colonized, ensuring uninterrupted biological filtration.
Compatible with all filtration systems, it is best placed after mechanical filtration media. To speed up biological activation, squeeze a bacteria-seeded sponge into the chamber where FilterMAX is installed. Rinse with clean water before first use to remove dust. If denitrification occurs and nitrate levels approach zero, clean the filter more frequently. Avoid turning off the filter for more than 5–6 hours to preserve bacterial colonies.
