Flourish Equilbrium It is essential to replenish the minerals necessary for plant development in the water. Equilibrium does not contain sodium or chloride (which can be harmful in a heavily planted aquarium). Equilibrium is suitable for use with RO (reverse osmosis) or DI (deionized) water. Equilibrium raises the essential mineral content (general hardness GH) of the water without altering the kH.
Instructions:
To increase essential mineral contents (general hardness=GH) by 1 meq/l (3 dH), add 16 g (1 dose) per 80 l, when initializing an aquarium or at a water change. Equilibrium™ can be added directly, although for optimal solubility we recommend mixing with 1 liter of water to add (1 per qt.) the resulting mixture will have an opaque white appearance. When this mixture is added to the aquarium water, a light haze will be visible which should clear within 15 to 30 minutes.
Tips: Do not use Equilibrium to replace evaporated water. This dose is based on DI (demonized water) and RO (reverse osmosis); for other types of water first measure the degree of hardness (GH), then add as needed.
Preference varies depending on the plants or environment, but a general guide is around 1-2 meq/l (3-6 dH).
