Carbonate hardness (KH) is the measurement of carbonates and bicarbonates contained in water. Carbonate hardness contributes to pH stability and can also act as an emergency reserve of CO2 if its level plummets. Carbonate™ is a derivative of potassium bicarbonate. Increases both carbonate hardness and potassium. The concentration of Carbonate™ is 2,000 meq/L (5,600 dKH) In addition it contains 78,300 mg/L of potassium.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add 30 ml for every 60 L of water once a week (or as needed). This dose increases carbonate hardness by 1 meq/L (2.8 dKH). For unbuffered water or in the absence of CO2 injection, use 1/4 to 1/2 dose to avoid impacting the pH. Plant preferences vary but a rough rule of thumb is around (3-6 dKH). This dose increases potassium by 40 mg/L.
