Corydoras or armored catfish represent a species of fish from South America that lives on the bottom, where they search for food with their barbels. For this reason the bottom must not be coarse or sharp. They live very sociably (except C. acutus) and are peaceful.
Corydoras are omnivores that take up detritus (shredded organic matter) on the bottom; their food spectrum therefore includes almost everything found in natural waters. With JBL PRONOVO CORYDORAS this is taken into account in the composition of the plant and animal ingredients.
What to do if you house several bottom inhabitants in the same aquarium? Fish also have a sense of taste and don't eat what they don't like. Furthermore, there is NO species among the bottom inhabitants for which the food of another species, herbivorous or carnivorous, would be harmful. They just won't like it very much and would only lead to health problems if there was nothing else available to them. For this reason you can administer both types of tablets at the same time (e.g. JBL PRONOVO CORYDORAS for callittids and JBL PRONOVO BOTIA for loaches). This is even good for the fish, as they have more choice.
What is the difference between tablets and wafers? From a production point of view, feed tablets (e.g. JBL PRONOVO TAB, JBL PRONOVO CORYDORAS) consist of mechanically pressed fine flake or granulated feed. Instead wafers are derived from a dough pressed through an extruder like "unbroken salami", cut into thin slices and dried. The diameter of the "salami" corresponds to the diameter of the wafer. With JBL PRONOVO PLECO we have two sizes: M and XL.
During the production phase it is possible to harden the wafers even more, so that the loricarids have a hard food to scrape even after some time (until dark).
