Lagenandra meeboldii 'Red' is a fairly slow-growing aquarium plant and somewhat resembles an Anubias species in the shape of the leaves and the formation of the rhizome. However, Lagenandra are not perching plants, but must be planted in the substrate. This should be rich in nutrients, such as the new Dennerle Plants potting soil or the Dennerle Plants substrate.
