ECHINODORUS CORDIFOLIUS 'HARBICH RED'
'Harbich Red' remains much smaller than the original form of E. cordifolius. The leaves that emerge are round with hairs on the leaf blades; the leaves that are submerged in aquariums are much narrower. This variety is very robust and has firm, solid leaves. Numerous adventitious plantlets develop on the peduncles, but these can only develop properly in open aquariums. The name 'Harbich Red' refers to the reddish color of the new leaves, which turn green over time.
