Cichlids are a very diverse group of fish with 1,700 species. Their size varies from a few centimeters (checkerboard cichlids) to 80 cm for the Crenicichla species. All cichlids are oral brooders. Their diet ranges from microorganisms to plants and other fish. It is therefore important to inform yourself well about the species of cichlids we have in the aquarium! JBL PRONOVO CICHLID S was specially developed for smaller species, up to 10/12 cm in length. The most common small aquarium species are the following: Microgeophagus, Apistogramma, Pelvicachromis, Pelmatochromis, Nannacara, Nanochromis, Crenicara, Laetacara, Dicrossus and Ivanacara. The Eartheaters of the Geophagus and Satanoperca genus reach large dimensions, but still prefer small-sized food, which they search for in the sand (from which the name Eartheater derives).
JBL PRONOVO CICHLID M is suitable for all medium-sized cichlids of 8-20 cm, including the many species included in the genus of Cichlasoma, Acarichthys, Aequidens, Thorichthys, Amalatitlania, Crytoheros, Heros, Andinocara, Pterophyllum, Uaru and many others.
JBL PRONOVO CICHLID XL is ideal for "big people", measuring between 15 and 25 cm, including many species of the genus Crenicichla, Cichla, Amphilophus, Astronotus, Mayaheros, Cichlasoma, Rocio and many others.
