BUCEPHALANDRA KEDAGANG – Narrow-Leaved Epiphyte Plant with Metallic Tint from Borneo
Bucephalandra Kedagang is a striking variety of Bucephalandra, native to the lush riverbanks of Borneo. It features narrow, elongated dark green leaves with subtle white speckling, growing up to 6 cm in length and 1–2 cm in width. Its reddish rhizomes resemble those of the Bucephalandra Red, offering both aesthetic appeal and strong anchoring ability.
When fully submerged, its leaves often develop a metallic blue sheen, making it a favorite among aquascapers seeking depth and contrast in their designs. The slow-growing, compact habit makes it perfect for nano tanks, shrimp aquariums, or refined planted layouts.
As an epiphyte, Bucephalandra Kedagang must be attached to driftwood or rocks rather than planted in the substrate. It thrives in low to medium light, with gentle water flow, liquid fertilization, and light CO₂ supplementation to boost its coloration and vitality.
Main features:
• Epiphyte plant native to Borneo
• Narrow green leaves with white specks and blue underwater shimmer
• Reddish rhizomes, slow and compact growth
• Substrate-free, ideal for attachment to hardscape
• Safe for shrimp and ornamental fish
• Excellent for natural and refined aquascapes
• Low maintenance and long-lasting ornamental impact
Why choose Bucephalandra Kedagang:
