Product Description

Reagent for measuring nitrates in marine water.
Nitrates, chemically abbreviated to NO3, are the final product of the degradation of ammonia by nitrifying bacteria. Nitrate is not toxic to fish and therefore would not be a direct problem for their health as are ammonia or nitrites.
However, high concentrations of nitrates can block their growth or create deformations of the dorsal spine, fins and also cause serious problems of algal proliferation in aquariums
