Freshtick is a blend of different, all natural, self-produced and highly technical compounds, providing a natural and balanced diet for freshwater fish and omnivorous invertebrates.
Unlike most pelleted fish foods, Freshtick is a powder that can be rehydrated with water to form a paste. This paste can then be stuck to any surface in an aquarium, allowing fish to graze much more as they would in the wild, meaning Freshstick does not need attractants, artificial preservatives or synthetic products to feed even the fussiest feeders. Completely made from aquacultured aquatic products, it does not contain unnatural, soil-based aquatic fillers/nutrients such as alfalfa and greens.
Freshstick provides an essential source of protein, fatty acid-rich lipids (EPA, ARA and DHA), vitamins and carbohydrates, all from natural aquatic sources.
The rehydratable powder formula allows Freshstick to be mixed with any shellfish or crustacean meat, as well as fish eggs, shellfish and crustaceans, artemia, mysids, bloodworms, rotifers and orally administered medications.
Once prepared and introduced into the aquarium, Freshstick does not disperse in the water for hours, so it can be fully exploited by fish and crustaceans. This characteristic allows the product to be used as an “ad libitum” or rationed food.
As Freshstick is composed mainly of freeze-dried crustaceans, it does not contain fish skeletons and is therefore very low in phosphates compared to its protein content.
Freshstick is made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The mix is composed mainly of shrimp (Palaemonetes variants) collected in our Veta La Palma Natural Space which are immediately freeze-dried to maintain optimal nutritional value. Freeze dried microalgae and macroalgae are also added to the bleed to meet the nutritional needs of a wide variety of freshwater fish.
How to use Freshstick
Add RO water to the Freshstick bag in a ratio of 2:1 Freshstick:water. For a 42g bag, add 20-21ml of RO water.
Put the mixture together in the ziplock bag until smooth. Once the mixture is smooth, Freshstick can be used immediately, stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days, or frozen for up to 5 weeks without losing its nutritional value. Take a portion of Freshstick and stick it to a rock, driftwood or preferably the aquarium glass. Try starting with a small portion and increase proportionally based on your needs and the response of your systems.
