CupriSorb is a powerful absorbent of copper and heavy metals; removes copper more quickly and effectively than carbon and is therefore ideal for removing this element in particularly critical cases.
It removes all types of copper, including chelated copper, and its effectiveness remains high until its color turns to a dark blue hue; it can also be reused for an indefinite time thanks to its possibility of regeneration.
If used continuously, it will also gradually extract the copper accumulated in the substrate.
It is a powerful chelating resin specific for copper. Competing products are not chelating products, but simply cation exchange resins. Such resins can remove copper from freshwater but are ineffective in saltwater
How to use:
250ml per 600L removes up to 7,500mg (12 ppm) of copper. For best results, CupriSorb must be positioned to maximize the flow of water through it. To remove released copper from the substrate, it is recommended to leave CupriSorb on until at least 2 weeks after copper tests begin to indicate a null.
Resin depletion is indicated by a pronounced discoloration of the pearls to a deep blue-black color.
Regeneration:
Immerse CupriSorb in a non-metallic container with 2 cups of water and 1⁄2 cup of muriatic acid inside. Soak for 1 hour and then rinse well. Repeat the operation until the product resumes its initial color.
Rinse well, add baking soda until the foaming process ends and rinse again.
