Nutrient ratios for lower reef aquarium animals (corals, sponges and others) are ideal when nitrate and phosphate are present at the lowest concentrations. Tropic Marin ELIMI-NP is concentrated organic carbon for effectively reducing nitrate and phosphate in reef aquariums by incorporating these compounds into additional biomass.
Dosage:
Start with a daily dosage of 0.1 ml per 100 l of aquarium water and increase the dosage every two weeks by 0.1 ml per 100 l of aquarium water, observing the animals and checking the nutrient concentrations. Dose ELIMI-NP into the pump flow, so that it is distributed throughout the aquarium immediately.
Maximum dosage:
Do not exceed a daily dosage of 0.5 ml per 100 l of aquarium water. The phosphate concentration in the reef aquarium should be lowered slowly, to avoid possible adaptation stress to the organisms. At the same time, the nitrate-phosphate ratio should not exceed 10:1.
In case of a nitrate-sulphate ratio higher than 10:1, we recommend using Tropic Marin NP-BACTO-BALANCE instead of ELIMI-NP, to optimally adjust the nutrient concentrations.
