Tropic Marin ELIMI-PHOS RAPID is a highly efficient liquid solution designed for the rapid reduction of phosphate concentrations in marine and reef aquariums. Elevated phosphate levels often result in poor coral growth and unwanted algae blooms. With its lanthanum-based formula, ELIMI-PHOS RAPID binds phosphate in the water, rendering it inert and easily removed through filtration.
This fast-acting product quickly restores optimal phosphate levels (0.02–0.1 mg/l for reef tanks), improving water clarity and promoting stronger, more vibrant corals. By reducing nutrients available to nuisance algae, it helps maintain a balanced, healthy reef environment.
Care should be taken not to reduce phosphate levels to zero, as all aquatic organisms—including corals—require trace amounts for proper metabolic function. Phosphate levels should be reduced gradually and precisely, to avoid shocking sensitive reef inhabitants.
Application and dosage:
500 ml binds approximately 5 g of phosphate
10 ml per 100 liters reduces phosphate by up to 1 mg/l
Do not reduce more than 0.1 mg/l per day
Recommended daily dosage: max 1 ml per 100 liters
Always measure phosphate levels before dosing
Maintain levels between 0.02 and 0.1 mg/l in reef aquariums
Avoid dropping below 0.02 mg/l to prevent deficiencies
