AF NitraPhos Minus is a unique composition developed for the biological removal of nitrates, nitrites and phosphates from a marine aquarium. The preparation triggers metabolic processes and cell divisions of many species of bacteria that are responsible for the removal of coral nutrients unfavorable to corals. Thanks to a special composition of various forms of organic carbon, amino acids and vitamins, all biochemical processes occur unhindered and bacteria easily absorb the compounds and convert them into biomass. In the next stage, bacterial biomass is trapped by a skimmer / filter or forms a source of energy for higher organisms, including corals. AF NitraPhos Minus improves the general condition of corals, improves coloration and promotes their growth, preventing the formation of unwanted algae and the development of cyanobacteria.
Recommendations and dosage:
• The product should be used according to the instructions provided.
• Do not combine methods and preparations of similar use.
• AF NitraPhos Minus can be used in combination with the probiotic Aquaforest. To make the product even more effective, we recommend the use of probiotic bacteria Aquaforest – Pro Bio S.
• It should be remembered that adsorbents such as Phosphate Minus, Carbon, Zeo Mix can reduce the yield of the product due to a high adsorption capacity, therefore it is recommended to monitor the parameters and adjust the doses to the expected levels of nutrients.
• It is recommended to use it in combination with the preparations AF Vitality and AF Amino mix.
• If you forget to administer the daily dose, do not increase the dosage in the following days.
• If cloudiness or sedimentation of the product occurs in the aquarium, the dosage should be reduced by at least half.
• Due to the increased activity of the bacteria, it is necessary to ensure adequate oxygenation and turn on the skimmer.
• Do not apply the preparation directly to the skin of the fish and the surface of the coral - the highly concentrated ingredients can cause tissue damage.
• It is recommended to dose the product in the flow of a pump or in sump.
• The preparation can be dispensed with the help of a pump.
AF NitraPhos Minus dosage should be started with half the recommended dose. The preparation should be used until satisfactory results are achieved, usually for about a month. The process of biological nutrient removal depends on many factors, including the size of the live rock. In a fish aquarium, the satisfactory level is NO3 ~ 2 mg / l, PO4 ~ 0.00-0.03 mg / l, in the reef tank it is NO3 ~ 0-0.25 / 0.5 mg / l, PO4 ~ 0 -0.02 mg / l.
The concentration of the parameters NO3 and PO4 should be monitored (once or twice a week) and the dose should be adjusted according to the NO3, PO4 level:
