TWINSTAR NANO PLUS

It inhibits the onset and propagation of algae, thanks to the microbubbles generated by the diffuser, which destroy the cell wall of most green algae, blocking their proliferation. It promotes plant growth. It is not harmful to fish or other aquarium inhabitants.

The operating principle is based on the sterilization capacity of the microbubbles generated by the diffuser; these microbubbles destroy the cell wall of green algae, blocking their proliferation without being in any way harmful to aerobic bacteria. In this way, the growth of plants will be facilitated and more luxuriant, thus increasing their ability to better absorb the nutrients present in the water and, consequently, limit the availability of these nutrients for the algae.

The main causes of algae growth are three:

too strong lighting
excess nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) in the tank
too much carbon dioxide

These algae are not only harmful because they feed on the same elements as plants, thus depriving them of the food they need to grow and develop, but also because they physically block the penetration of light, significantly reducing the light supply and consequently damaging photosynthesis.

Twinstar improves plant growth by up to 50% more; it increases the light supply to plants thanks to the inhibition of algae. It also helps to activate the microelements present in the water, helping plants in the absorption of nutrients.

Twinstar II Nano Plus can be used in three modes:

mode 1: for tanks from 50 to 100 liters
mode 2: for tanks from 100 to 200 liters
mode 3: for tanks up to 250 liters

Installing Twinstar in a newly established planted aquarium:

First day: start the aquarium taking care to plant the plants correctly following the instructions of the fertile substrate manufacturer. Any dust residues wandering in the tank can be removed with subsequent water changes.
Fifth day: in the initial stage, algae spores begin to generate around the third day, taking advantage of the abundance of nutrients released by a new substrate, and begin to be visible to the naked eye already around the tenth day from the start; to ensure that the proliferation of these spores is blocked at the outset, it is recommended to install Twinstar on the 5th day from the start or at the latest within the first ten days.
Sixth day: the spore elimination effect of Twinstar is already at 90% of its effectiveness; to improve the effectiveness it is now possible to add nitrifying bacteria that feed on nitrates to further combat filamentous algae

Installing Twinstar in an already running aquarium:

Carefully remove any algae present in the tank; if the aquarium has been running for more than a month, it is advisable to clean the filter. Install Twinstar taking care to also include bacteria that feed on nitrates in the tank in order to limit the nutrients available to the algae as much as possible

Twinstar Positioning:

Install the Twinstar diffuser, using the appropriate suction cups, in an area of the tank where there is good water recirculation as long as it is far from the suction pipe to prevent the microbubbles from being sucked in before becoming effective; it is recommended to install the diffuser on the bottom of the aquarium in correspondence with the delivery flow.
