The new NYOS® hybrid impeller - The heart of every skimmer is its propulsion. That is why we have developed the innovative hybrid impeller. This impeller, manufactured with extreme precision from super-lightweight materials, combines the advantages of a brush impeller and a lattice impeller. The hybrid impeller is characterized by a lattice body on which many pins are mounted at close distances from each other. This structure ensures that an infinite number of very fine air bubbles are generated. The negligible weight and high precision reduce the need for maintenance and, at the same time, minimize energy consumption.
NYOS Clear-View Reactor - The hybrid impeller requires a special skimming chamber, which is why we have developed the NYOS® Clear-View Reactor. The “Clear-View Reactor” is a transparent, high-performance, large-volume skimming chamber in which the water and air mix. In combination with the hybrid impeller and the specially designed Venturi it allows for an enormous air intake with an optimal water-air ratio. Its transparency allows any foreign bodies to be easily identified. At the same time you can admire the incredible performance of the pump in operation. Practical and elegant!
The NYOS® Twister – The impressive amount of treated air and the finest bubbles are one thing, but, to achieve optimal foaming, the bubbles that are generated must also remain in contact with the water for as long as possible. For this reason, in addition to our standard diffuser, we have created the “Saw-blade Twister” which gives the bubbles an additional rotation, creating a swirling, vortex-like motion. This exponentially increases the contact time of the air bubbles with the water column.
Combination of design and functionality: Sinus design – Water does not like corners, which is why we have developed a flow-optimised double S shape. With this design, which we call Sinus, the air bubbles can rise to the surface unhindered, completely free, ergonomically. This prevents poor flow zones that occur in corners

Every aquarium is different, which is why the NYOS® Quantum® can be individually adapted to all the characteristics of the various aquariums: the amount of water and air can be set independently of each other. NYOS® Quantum has been designed to have high performance, without external pumps, and to be completely disassembled in order to guarantee meticulous maintenance of each single element.
